How Does This Exam Affect My Child?
Here is a break down of how this exam could affect your children:
- 9th grade Algebra 1 and Algebra 1B students take this end-of-course (eoc) exam, and it counts 30% of their course grade.
- 7th and 8th Algebra 1 students take the eoc, but it does not count toward their grade (again, reflecting on the school). They also have to take FCAT.
Why is Algebra State Exam Prep So Important?
All 9th grade students who are currently taking or have previously taken Algebra 1 will need to take this final, and this state exam will count 30% of their grade for 9th graders currently taking Algebra 1 or 1B. All 7th and 8th grade students currently taking Algebra 1 will also take this End of Course exam.

High school teachers have frequently said they could pick out Mrs. Bellak’s students from the others, and one administrator nicknamed her the “Algebra Queen.”
Mrs. Bellak is currently teaching Elementary Algebra at Pasco-Hernando Community College.
Mrs. Bellak uses many unique and original explanations of the subject matter, in order to enable students to understand better. In fact, previous students have asked her to write a handbook, and they titled it Bellak’s Math Tips and Tricks.
