Teaching the FCAT
It is difficult for a math teacher to cover all the required mathematical topics in the curriculum, let alone also prepare students for standardized test-taking. Therefore, additional preparation beyond the classroom is desirable. No one, including Bellak Math Prep, can “teach the test”, but the more practice and preparation, the better.
Problem solving strategies and test-taking strategies are included in the program and should help students improve their self-confidence in math. An inherent part of the program is an emphasis on positive attitudes, a willingness to put forth effort, and goal setting.
